China is committed to leading the global environmental revolution through its “New Trio”— photovoltaics, lithium-ion batteries, and new energy vehicles (EVs). In 2023, exports of these products surged by 30%, highlighting China’s high-tech, intelligent, and green manufacturing industries.
As a leader in renewable energy investments for seven consecutive years, China invested $380 billion in clean energy in 2021 and $546 billion in 2022, focusing on solar and wind power, EVs, and batteries. Strong technological foundations support these investments, with China contributing 36.7% of global battery technology patent applications and leading the world with 126,400 solar panel patent applications.
