On September 11th, 2024,\u00a0 Chinese and Albanian academics met in Tirana for an academic exchange session & roundtable.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb bisedime mor\u00ebn pjes\u00eb Prof. Zhao Chen, Prof. Kong Tianping dhe Prof. Cao Hui nga Akademia Kineze e Shkencave Sociale (CASS), Instituti i Studimeve Evropiane.<\/p>\n

Profesor Zhao,<\/strong> the Chief of the European Diplomacy Department, presented the history, accomplishments, and future prospects of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Institute of European Studies. Additionally, Professor Zhao introduced the first Chinese think tank based in Europe, specifically in Budapest, and provided Albanian academics with an overview of IES\u2019s academic achievements and areas of focus.<\/p>\n

Ai angazhoi pjes\u00ebmarr\u00ebsit shqiptar\u00eb, duke ofruar njohuri t\u00eb holl\u00ebsishme mbi eksplorimin historik dhe bashk\u00ebkohor t\u00eb rajonit ballkanik n\u00eb Kin\u00eb. Prof. Kong theksoi momente kritike t\u00eb historis\u00eb, duke hedhur drit\u00eb mbi r\u00ebnd\u00ebsin\u00eb e k\u00ebrkimit t\u00eb kryer n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb fush\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Profesor Shp\u00ebtim Cami,<\/strong> General Secretary of the University College of Business (UCB) in Albania, presented the vision, mission, and aims for UCB\u2019s future to the Chinese counterparts. Prof. Cami expressed UCB\u2019s interest in student and academic staff exchanges with universities and think tanks in China, as well as training, joint programs, and projects. Additionally, he highlighted the possibility of a cooperation agreement that would be mutually beneficial for both institutions (CASS & UCB).<\/p>\n

Prof. Edit Bregu,<\/strong> the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Law, and Social Sciences and vice president of UCB, made an in-depth presentation on the university\u2019s current state of affairs, ongoing partnerships, reorganization, and future projections. Prof. Bregu highlighted UCB\u2019s commitment to further internationalization and expressed the university\u2019s further outreach to foreign academic institutions.<\/p>\n

Prof. Mira Andoni,<\/strong> Dekane e Fakultetit t\u00eb Inxhinieris\u00eb dhe Shkencave Kompjuterike n\u00eb KUB, prezantoi shtrirjen, kapacitetin dhe mund\u00ebsit\u00eb q\u00eb fakulteti po ofron p\u00ebr t\u00eb rinjt\u00eb shqiptar\u00eb n\u00eb koh\u00ebn ton\u00eb. Prof. Andoni theksoi r\u00ebnd\u00ebsin\u00eb jetike t\u00eb k\u00ebsaj fushe p\u00ebr t\u00eb ardhmen dhe m\u00ebnyr\u00ebn se si KUB po eksploron dhe p\u00ebrshtatet me nevojat e tregut.<\/p>\n

Dr. Irsida Dinoshi,<\/strong> Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Law, and Social Sciences, UCB, introduced the Chinese counterparts to the institution\u2019s goals and achievements. Dr. Dinoshi highlighted UCB\u2019s engagement and commitment to exchanging knowledge, ideas, and experiences.<\/p>\n

Prof. Enver Byty\u00e7i,<\/strong> Executive Director of the Institute of Southeast European Studies, introduced his institution\u2019s objectives and his personal expertise in the region. The author of several books and articles on China, prof. Byty\u00e7i expressed his conviction that Albanian academia has the goodwill, intention, and aspiration to work with China.\u00a0 He recalled his visits to China and the great potential in Beijing\u2019s two initiatives, respectively, China-CEEC and the Belt and Road Initiative.<\/p>\n

Si studiuese e aktualitetit kinez, ajo i njohu homolog\u00ebt se si perceptohet Kina n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri, \u00e7far\u00eb arritjesh jan\u00eb b\u00ebr\u00eb deri tani n\u00eb k\u00ebrkimet e lidhura me Kin\u00ebn dhe \u00e7far\u00eb mund t\u00eb sjellin perspektivat p\u00ebr t\u00eb ardhmen. The meeting was marked by insightful presentations,\u00a0 collaborative spirit, and discussions that highlighted the rich traditions and strengths of both countries. Both sides\u2019 will is well-positioned to leverage their combined expertise.<\/p>\n
